Comprehensive Cost Consulting Services

Our role as cost consultants is to help the architectural and engineering design team bring the vision of a project to fruition. We help design professionals stay within budget and maintain that budget during the design process.

We have good partnerships and clients that appreciate what we do. They appreciate our human aspect on projects. We’re not afraid to be the ones in the room to question people and to be honest with our opinions on cost. If we think something’s over budget, we say that. If we think that a certain element of a project is overpriced, over-designed or overengineered, we will question that.

As the largest pure cost consulting firm in Hawaii, we focus only on providing accurate cost estimates for clients in the private and public sector markets. We have experience in both the review of cost estimates generated by third-party contractors, as well as generating Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates and project durations with or without project schematics provided by design teams.

We provide cost estimates that are easy for you to read and understand.

We help you determine the feasibility of your budget.

We research design alternatives so you can choose the best options and materials.

We help owners and design teams by developing accurate project schedules to keep the entire team on track.

We develop and verify change orders to ensure transparency  throughout the project lifecycle.

We ensure that projects are built as specified by developing comprehensive bills of materials for projects.

Our team estimates project scopes ranging from $25,000 to over $300 million. These include Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation for Design Build (DB) and Design-Bid Build (DBB), Functional Analysis and Concept Design (FACD), Maintenance Surveys, 1391 Programming Estimates (DD 1391), and Bills of Material Quantity estimates. We have provided successful cost consulting services for over 5,000 projects including but not limited to:
