Joseph Uno was invited to give a presentation and to lead the discussion as one of three panel members at the American Council of Engineering Companies of Hawaii (ACECH) November monthly membership meeting at the Pacific Club. Other panel members consisted of Jim Bauckham, Senior Estimator at Nordic PCL Construction, Inc., and Scott Jennings, President of SJ Construction Consulting, LLC. The discussion topic, What A/E Consultants and Project Owners Should Know about Engineers’ Cost Estimates & Contractor Bids in Hawaii, was selected due to members’ desires for a deeper understanding of the various factors that influence construction costs and bids in Hawaii.
